Beware of maintenance misconceptions: Only changing the oil without replacing the filter reduces the lifespan of the transmission by half
Only changing the transmission fluidwhile neglecting the filter screen and Oil Pan gasket is equivalent to doing"useless maintenance". Recently, a repair expert from Dangchedi issued a warning.
Data shows that for vehicles that do not have their filters replaced regularly, the probability of transmission failure increases by 40%, and the average lifespan is reduced from 150,000 kilometers to less than 80,000 kilometers.
Common misunderstandings also include mixing oil pan pads of different materials and using non-original factory sealants, etc.
Experts emphasize that the correct procedure should be: after disassembling the oil pan, clean the impurities and sediment, replace the filter screen and the new gasket at the same time, apply the special sealant and then idle for a 10-minute test.
For vehicles traveling on potholes, it is recommended to check the oil pan for deformation every 20,000 kilometers.
